Paul Sterry, Founder and Director of Bird Photographer of the Year, revisited The Gambia earlier this year after 26 years since his last visit. Spending part of his trip at Morgan Kunda Lodge, Paul was delighted to discover that ‘21st Century Gambia is even more ‘birdy’ than I remember, cleaner, and more organised in terms of infrastructure, information and guides’. He also recalls how Morgan Kunda Lodge ‘has the potential to become the ‘go-to’ location for serious and casual photographers alike seeking a taste of rural Africa’.
