Morgan Kunda Lodge are very pleased to support the Youth Empowerment Project (YEP), funded by the EU and working with Adama Bah, Responsible Tourism Consultant. You can read more about Adama Bah on his website

Within the Responsible Tourism guidelines, Morgan Kunda Lodge has been identified by Adama Bah as a Responsible Tourism Initiative. This also supports our objective for Morga Kunda Lodge to become the centre of tourism in the North Bank Region, creating employment and business opportunities for youths who otherwise would be considering ‘Backway’ migration.

The party of about 30 students stayed at Morgan Kunda Lodge in June, using the air-conditioned conference room available for training as part of the Responsible Tourism programme, whereby Morgan Kunda staff also attended. The conference centre is provided by Morgan Kunda Lodge, free of charge to any charitable organisation.

Responsible Tourism is tourism ‘that creates better places for people to live in, and better places to visit’.

Responsible Tourism is about the legacy and the consequences of tourism, for the environment, local people and local economies.
