Itinerary for Gambia and Senegal – 5 night tour
Day 1 – Pick up from the hotel and drive to Banjul / Barra ferry to Keur Saloum with several Birding stops along the way and picnic lunch. Dinner and overnight stay at Keur Saloum hotel.
Day 2 – Birding around Keur Saloum with picnic lunch and drive to Kaolack. Dinner and overnight stay at Kaolack hotel.
Day 3 – After breakfast, drive from Kaolack to Njefat Island for Swallow Tailed Kite roosts. Lunch at the hotel and afternoon birding on the way to Tambakunda.
Day 4 – Leave Kaolack and drive to Jarjari with a picnic lunch and birding stops along the way. Dinner and overnight stay at Morgan Kunda Lodge, Jarjari village (adjacent to the Baobolong Wetland Reserve). Bird watching on foot direct from the Lodge.
Day 5 – After breakfast, leave Jarjari with picnic lunch and drive along the North Bank to Kaur Wetland and Wassu Stone Circles. Dinner and overnight stay at Morgan Kunda Lodge.
Day 6 – After breakfast, leave Jarjari drive down to Barra / Banjul ferry with picnic lunch and birding stops along the way. Dinner and overnight stay at coastal hotel.
Itinerary for Gambia and Senegal – 2 night tour
Day 1 – Leave hotel and drive to Tendaba camp with birdwatching stops along the way. Lunch at Tendaba camp, afternoon boat trip across the Gambia river to the Baobolong and up through the wetland reserve to Katchang jetty. Drive from Katchang by car to Morgan Kunda Lodge, Jarjari village (adjacent to the Baobolong Wetland Reserve). Bird watching on foot direct from the Lodge. Dinner and overnight at Morgan Kunda Lodge.
Day 2 – Drive from Jarjari via the North Bank road to Kaur wetland. Lunch at Kaureng and afternoon birding heading to Wassu Stone Circles for the Bee Eaters. Return to Morgan Kunda Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3 – After breakfast, leave Jarjari with a picnic lunch and drive to Barra / Banjul ferry for the early crossing. Dinner and overnight stay at a coastal hotel.
